Putting the client’s interests first
Advice begins with understanding the client’s risks, priorities and constraints. A solution is recommended only when it can be justified against the identified need, not simply because it is the easiest to place.
Independent judgement
RC Insurance Consulting operates as a non-tied insurance intermediary. The firm does not represent a particular insurer and does not accept commitments that would restrict its independence to its clients’ detriment.
This independence does not entail automatically analysing every offer across the entire market. Selection takes account of the risk, jurisdiction, strength of the counterparties, quality of cover and effective access to the relevant markets.
Transparency of recommendations and remuneration
The assumptions, limitations and main trade-offs behind a recommendation should be understandable. Significant restrictions in a solution are not obscured by focusing solely on the premium.
The types of remuneration received in connection with a service are disclosed in accordance with the legal framework and the applicable agreements with the client.
Preventing conflicts of interest
Potential conflicts are identified as early as possible. They are prevented through organisational measures or, where a risk of disadvantage cannot be ruled out, clearly disclosed to the client before the relevant commitment is made.
Confidentiality and discretion
Information entrusted to the firm is handled discreetly and shared only with those who need to be involved. Data is passed to an insurer, expert or specialist partner only to the extent necessary for the analysis, placement or performance of the mandate.
Competence and professional discipline
RC Insurance Consulting maintains the knowledge and skills required for its activities and works with appropriate insurers, correspondent brokers or specialists when the risk calls for it. Seeking targeted expertise is not a weakness: it is necessary when the complexity goes beyond what one advisor can address alone.
Direct accountability
The firm’s model rests on a named, accountable advisor. Important decisions, coverage gaps and delivery difficulties must be addressed directly, documented and followed up.
