Registration as an insurance intermediary does not constitute a guarantee of a product’s performance or FINMA’s endorsement of any particular recommendation.

Nature of activities

As a non-tied intermediary, RC Insurance Consulting owes a duty of loyalty to its clients and acts in their interests. The firm advises on, structures and coordinates insurance solutions based on identified needs and may assist with their placement through insurers or specialist partners.

The precise scope of the mandate, the services expected and the respective responsibilities are set out in the documentation governing the relationship.

Insurance companies and contractual relationships

Depending on the class of insurance, territory, nature of the risk and available market access, RC Insurance Consulting may consider solutions from several insurers. Independence does not mean that every product available across the entire global market is systematically analysed.

The insurers actually approached or proposed, together with relevant contractual relationships, are disclosed to the client during the advisory process and before the contract is concluded.

Remuneration

Depending on the mandate and the solution selected, RC Insurance Consulting may receive commissions or brokerage from an insurer, fees agreed with the client, or a combination of these forms of remuneration.

The applicable types of remuneration are disclosed transparently in accordance with Swiss insurance supervision legislation. Any specific arrangements are set out in the relevant contractual documentation.

Professional liability

RC Insurance Consulting, represented by René Constraint, is responsible for its intermediation activities in accordance with applicable law. The firm maintains the professional indemnity cover or financial guarantees required for its registration.

Any insurance cover proposed to a client remains subject to acceptance by the insurer and to the terms, exclusions, limits and deductibles set out in the contractual documentation.

Preventing conflicts of interest

RC Insurance Consulting takes appropriate organisational measures to identify and prevent conflicts of interest. Where a risk of disadvantage to the client cannot be ruled out, it is disclosed before the relevant contract is concluded.

Our approach is described in our Professional integrity.

Complaints and enquiries

Any complaint may be submitted to RC Insurance Consulting in writing at its registered office or by email to info@rcinsuranceconsulting.com. It will be reviewed directly and the review documented.

Information about supervision and the register is available on FINMA’s official website.
